Well, here is the "main" part of my mini-site. I used to draw a lot more often a few years ago, but since I got into mmorpgs, I haven't been keeping up as much as I should have. I'm pretty busy and I ended using my drawing time for mmorpg time. Well, a few years ago, Dat and his wife Steph came over to my place for a visit. While they were there, she asked me to help her out with some page layouts for a web comic she was starting up. I helped with some of the plotting and a few days later, I got inspired to try to do a web comic of my own. The drawing battle that Dat and I had was really fun and it seemed like it would be fun to try to keep creating something on a daily basis so a web comic seemed like the perfect thing to try. The only hard part was coming up with a story.
I've never done any sort of sequential drawing on a long term basis, so I did a lot of browsing on the weekends to see how other folks implemented their ideas. There was a lot of good stuff out there and after a few weeks of browsing and brainstorming, I came up with the werewolf thing. After a few weeks later, I got a basic plot, character bios, and images dones. Then I got sucked into World of Warcraft. Hahahahaha. But to make a long story short, I got the drawing bug again:).
So here is my web comic. I'm pretty new at this pacing and writing dialogue thing, so it will be a work in progress. But hopefully, I'll improve as things go on. I'm pretty busy nowadays, but my goal is to update one page a week. The first few pages may look different in terms of inking/coloring style, but that is because I'm trying to find a way of coloring the art in a timely manner for updates (I'll try to update every Monday or so).
Hope you like it, and let me know what you think.

Comic Disclaimer Information: Okay, since things have started to pick up, I've typed up this little disclaimer on what folks can expect to see or not to see in the comic. Basically, if this was a movie, it would be rated R for violence, language, and maybe occasional nudity (but mostly for werewolfy violence). Or maybe a strong pg-13. The line between the two ratings is so blurry nowadays. Hahaha. If I think something is going to be not safe for work (graphic violence, language, etc), I'll figure some way to give a heads up when it's posted.
Violence: It's a monster story, so there is gonna be some gore and violence. I usually try to keep things toned down, but there will the occasional graphic depiction.
Language: I try to keep this toned down as well. If a four letter favorite does pop up, it'll fit in the context of the situation. So while someone might say something every once in a looong while (70+ pages so far and not one swear word yet), there won't be a non-stop stream of expletives shooting out of a characters's mouth just for the sake of cussing.
Nudity: I'm staying away from the "pants magically stretch/unstretch" thing (too super hero-y), so there will probably be some comic book type nudity at some point eventually (most likely a butt--both genders, at most). And even then, that will only happen if I can't cover anything up with shadows, objects, angles, etc. And even then (yes there's more), it won't be explicit. So if you're looking for graphic nudity or depictions of sex, you're looking in the wrong place--cause it ain't ever gonna happen here. |
